The University of Liverpool is just 20 minutes by foot or if you prefer a local bus route is 2 minutes away, buses run every 15 mintues and take just 5 mintues.
LIPA is also easily commutable from Derby Buldings, a short 18-minute bus ride will take you to the campus.
Travel to Liverpools famous city centre with it's huge choice of popular bars, pubs, and clubs, all can be reached within 20 mintues via local transport.

How do I apply for a room?Reserving your room couldn't be easier, just fill our reservation form by signing up to the TJT Students members area here. Once we receive your completed reservation form we will contact you to advise what documents and deposit (if applicable) we need to process your application. When all requested documents have been received and checked by our student manager a contract will be created and emailed to you and your guarantor(if you have one) to sign using our chosen e-signing provider DocuSign.

Am I eligible to apply for a room with TJT Students?To apply for a room with us you MUST meet the critera below:- 1) Be a full time student (at least 21 hours a week) that will be at least 18 years old at the time your course starts. 2) Have recieved a conditional or unconditional offer from your chosen University that shows the name of your course and states that it is a full time Course, an offer letter from the University may also be accepted provided it displays all the required information.

Do I Need A Guarantor?A UK based guarantor is required for tenancies were you want to pay in instlaments. This is usually a parent or guardian. Overseas students and those who cannot provide a UK based guarantor are unable to pay the rent in instalments and must pay in full upfront. If you are unable to pay upfront you may be able to use rent guarantor service such as housing hand (opens in new window), they offer students a secured, reliable and insured rent guarantor service.

How Long Is The Tenancy For?Our Tenancies run for 44 weeks. Should you wish to extend your stay please contact us as early as possible to extend your stay. We may also be able to offer shorter Tenancies, subject to availability.

Can I choose who to live with?Provided you advise us at the time of booking, and we have availability, we will always try and accommodate such request.* *Don't forget to list the friends that you would like to live with when you fill out your reservation form!

What's a Guarantor?When a student chooses to pay in instalments, the student will need a guarantor to sign the tenancy paperwork. A guarantor is a third party, such as a parent or relative who takes joint financial responsibility for the tenancy if they fail to pay their rent.

I've filled out a reservation form, what happens next?Once we receive your completed reservation form we will contact you to request the documents and deposit (if applicable) we need to process your application. 1.) We will need you to supply a copy of Photo ID (e.g your passport) and your university acceptance letter, this should show confirmtion you are a full time university student (Studying for at least 21 hours per week) 2.) When all requested documents have been received and checked by our student manager your contract will be emailed to you via our chosen e-siging platform DocuSign.(The email you receive will look similar to the example shown below and be from our Stutent Property Manager Lorna Murphy) 3.) Once you have signed your agrrement it will be automatically forwared to your guarantor (if you have one), they must also read and signed the agreement below it will be sent back to us to complete. 4.) Once our student property manger has signed the agreement all parties will recieve an email copy of the agreement.

How do you allocate rooms?When applying for a room you will notice a series of questions on our reservation form regarding your reservation, we use this to determine the type of room/flat that you require (all female flat, 3rd years only for example). While we can not gurantee these requests we will always try to accomodate them if possible.

When you agree to be a guarantor, your role is to help them live up to their side of the tenancy agreement. This includes ensuring they pay their rent on time and adhere to our behaviour policy. You take joint financial responsibility for the tenancy, which means you agree to pay the rent if they can’t.

Who can be a guarantor?A guarantor for student accommodation is normally a parent or relative and someone who is working and a homeowner.
